Abstract
A new heteroside has been isolated from Populus yunnanensis Dode pollen. Structural studies have established it is a kempferol-3- O-rhamnodiglucoside. The carbohydrate moiety, obtained through mild hydrolysis of the heteroside, is a new branched trisaccharide with the structure 2 1-α- l-rhamnopyranosyl-laminaribiose.
