Abstract

Summary. — The Sella Group (altitude : more than 2 500 m) shows three principal types of landforms : high table-land modeled in mammil- lated rock surfaces, great glacial-valleys using lines of weakness (fault or break), and glacial cirques or little trough valleys detailing the upper crests ; everywhere, periglacial forms are importants ; polygonal soils, stone stripes, stone circles... The edges of the Sella group shows numerous interesting sediments : moraines and rock-glaciers ; their relative position let to distinguished several phases of Late-glacial.
