Abstract
After reading all the texts published by John Paul II that directly concern the nature and vocation of women, it becomes evident that he makes a harsh critique of Western forms of feminism. It seems important, therefore, to explore briefly the Pope's understanding of this social movement, especially his reasons for placing himself at odds with it.
