Abstract
Abortion is a controversial subject in many societies, and Canada has not been immune to this controversy as demonstrated by the Supreme Court cases of Morgentaler, Borrowoski and Daigle. The outcome of these cases indicated that a woman ought to have the power to establish her own limits regarding the continuation of her pregnancy. These Supreme Court rulings enlighten some important facts. First, like ordinary people, judges have prejudices that guide them in their decision making, even if they do not let it show.
