Abstract

Men who have sex with men (MSM) are generally excluded from blood donation because they are considered to be at high risk of HIV infection, a virus that can be transmitted by transfusion. In Morocco, men who have sex with men (MSM) are permanently excluded from donation, because, in a homophobic society, some MSM do not report their sexual behavior before donating blood.
