Abstract
The hundred chart is a useful and inexpensive tool in the hands of an elementary school teacher. It is used to give practice in counting and to establish concepts of betweenness, greater than, less than, place value, skip counting. and number patterns. It is also useful in teaching multiplication facts and the four fundamental operations. In this article, an effort is made to show how the hundred chart can be used effectively in teaching the concepts of the least common multiple (LCM) and greatest common factor (GCF).
