METHODS: Sixty patients with ureteral stones who visited our hospital from June 2019 to November 2020 were selected and divided into a test group and a control group using the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. In the control group, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy was given to the control group, and in the trial group, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy combined with extracorporeal physical vibration lithotripsy was given to the control group, and the lithotripsy rate, lithotripsy completion time, pain relief time, hospitalization time and complications were compared between the two groups at different time points after surgery. RESULTS: The stone removal rate in the test group was higher than that in the control group at 2, 3 and 5 weeks after surgery, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); the stone removal time, pain relief time and hospitalization time in the test group were shorter than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); the incidence of complications in the test group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The combination of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy and extracorporeal physical vibration lithotripsy can promote stone expulsion, shorten stone evacuation, pain and hospitalization time, and has high safety.
