Abstract
This study evaluates the tissue integration and collagen network effects of the HA-based soft tissue filler Juvéderm Voluma XC in a rat model using a novel three-dimensional (3-D) imaging platform and image analysis algorithms. Rats were injected subcutaneously with 125 μL of Juvéderm Voluma XC. After 4- or 12-weeks post-injection, the second harmonic generation (SHG) signal of collagen and tissue autofluorescence within the entire filler bolus was assessed using the TissueVision TissueCyte Serial Two-Photon Plus (STP2) imaging platform.
