Abstract

The purpose of this review is to investigate the extent to which the COVID-19 pandemic has affected adherence in dermatology. A literature search was performed using PubMed to identify articles relevant to the topic of adherence in dermatology during the COVID-19 pandemic. Search terms included: adherence, dermatology, COVID-19, Sars-CoV-2, and pandemic. In this review, adherence ranged from 31.5% to 100% across 11 studies. Non-adherence was primarily linked to concern about risk of COVID-19 infection with long-term use of immunomodulatory and immunosuppressive medications.
