Abstract
The European League Against Rheumatism and American College of Rheumatology jointly developed new classification criteria for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in 2019 (EULAR/ACR 2019). In this retrospective pilot study, we evaluated individual subjects with cutaneous lupus (CLE) whose disease classification changed based on the new criteria. We found that EULAR/ACR 2019 criteria may affect systemic disease classification in subjects with DLE and SCLE differently. SLE classification of 50 subjects with CLE was determined using both the ACR 1997 and EULAR/ACR 2019 criteria.
