Abstract
In the process of research activities, researchers compose presentation slides and academic papers alternately. Naturally, there exist strong relationships between slides and papers that have the same theme. Therefore, slides and papers should be skillfully developed in cooperation with each other. However, it is difficult for researchers to do so when collating the two together because of the differences in their constitutive features. This research is focused on presentation slides as the main cradle for organizing research content and examining it. The aim is to develop methods for laying the groundwork for a paper from presentation slides. In this paper, we mainly describe theoretical methods for laying the groundwork of academic papers on the basis of the analyses of presentation slides. We also describe a case study, and the basic features of our methods are discussed on the basis of its results.
