Abstract

The layer number dependence of superconducting critical temperature T c is discussed based on the characteristic feature of the spectral function of an electron–phonon interaction determined by our tunneling experiment. In our model, increase in T c is attributed to an increase in the density of effective phonon modes with the number of CuO 2 layer due to a long-range nature of the interaction.
