Abstract
Medicaid‐enrolled children in Georgia with significant mental health needs are deprived of necessary services in their homes and communities and subjected to unnecessary institutionalization, alleges a class‐action lawsuit filed by civil rights attorneys on Jan. 3 in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Responsible agencies systematically fail to provide three necessary services that they are entitled to under federal law: intensive care coordination, intensive in‐home services and mobile crisis response services (remedial services), the lawsuit stated.
