Abstract

Statistical analysis of distribution of the elasticity modulus (E) and strain (elongation) at break (eb) of commercial oriented polyamide-6 (PA-6) fibers has been performed in the framework of the Gaussian and Weibull models. Results of analysis confirm the dualism of the distribution of E and eb values of this oriented high-strength polymer, which consists in the validity of both the normal Gaussian distribution and the standard Weibull distribution function for this material.
