Abstract
This article explores the concept of Lawfare and its application as a strategy to weaken democraciesthrough the manipulation of the legal system for political purposes. We analyze how, by substitutingmilitary force with judicial measures, Lawfare aims to delegitimize opponents and neutralize politicalleaders, creating a crisis of confidence in democratic institutions. The research adopts a qualitativeapproach, based on a literature review and case analysis, highlighting the threat that Lawfare poses tothe Rule of Law and democratic integrity. The conclusion points out that the use of Lawfare not onlycompromises justice but also generates a cycle of distrust and social polarization.
