Abstract
The history of the relationship between Law and Religion in Spain is a story of ups and downs. There are great deeds, such as the missions to the New World, and beautiful works of art across centuries by Jews, Muslims and Christians. But there are also horrible historical errors, like the expulsion of the Jews, the Spanish Inquisition, and the harsh religious persecution of the early twentieth century. Unfortunately, anti-Semitism, anti-Protestantism, anti-Catholicism, anti-Islamism, and many other antis have tarnished Spain’s long history.
