Abstract

Ron Levy and Graeme Orr’s The Law of Deliberative Democracy and Michael Neblo’s Deliberative Democracy between Theory and Practice are important contributions to democratic theory and, in particular, to deliberative democracy. In this review essay I proceed by first describing the main theses of these books, their structure, and their conclusions, and finish with critical remarks. Let me begin with The Law of Deliberative Democracy.
