Abstract
Laurent is a new, high-yielding oat cultivar with wide adaptability in eastern Canada. Developed by the Quebec Oat Project Group, Laurent was licensed for sale in Canada in March 1977. Initial seed stocks were released to the SeCan Association for multiplication and distribution. Breeder seed is maintained by Macdonald College.
