Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic forced libraries to reconsider their programming and services to be offered remotely. A series of Virtual Study Halls were developed at the McGill University Library as a way to connect with students during library closures. The Virtual Study Halls took on different formats and themes to mimic various study spaces on campus and were offered over the course of Fall 2020 and Winter 2021 on Zoom. The experience of coordinating this service offered new opportunities to collaborate with other departments on campus and create relationships with users.
