Abstract
We report our recent study of the κ meson by full-QCD simulation with Wilson fermions on the 8 3 × 16 lattice at β = 4.8. Contrary to our σ meson calculation, where the disconnected diagram results in very light mass, we obtain a rather heavy kappa particle, i.e. , m κ /m K ∗ ∼ 2 . This preliminary result does not agree with recent experimental values.
