Lattice solitary wave solutions of discrete nonlinear wave equations using a direct method

Abstract

It is shown that the real exponential approach to the solutions of nonlinear evolution and wave equations can also he applied to discrete systems. As examples, the lattice solitary wave and kink solutions of the discrete modified KdV (DMKdV) equation and some modified versions of this equation are derived using this approach.
