Abstract
A scheme is considered which allows the effect of a lattice on the set of response functions of a spin-polarised electron gas to be calculated. A viable computational scheme is investigated inside the density functional theory of electron systems, which contains both the local density approach and the generalised uniform gas limit as special cases. The dependence on magnetisation of the kernels involved in the Bloch wave corrections is investigated.
