Abstract
Abstract X-ray diffraction measurements of lattice distortions in organic solid solutions are discussed within the framework of model ideas of organic chemical crystallography. The distortions are shown to have a complicated concentration dependence. In each particular case this dependence is governed by similarity in geometrical dimensions of the mixed molecules, by peculiarities of the molecular packing in the matrix crystal and by the way through which the guest molecules enter into the matrix.
