Latest EU gas and hydrogen initiatives

Abstract

LATESTEUGASANDHYDROGENINITIATIVES This article discusses the proposals of the European Commission to change the EU regulatory framework governing access to gas networks and formulating the general rules of the internal natural gas market. The approach of the EU institution is new and provides for the inclusion in the relevant framework of provisions that contribute to the formation of a separate market for hydrogen fuel, its supply and transportation. The study of the issue becomes extremely important, in particular, for the Russian side, which exports energy resources to Europe.
