Abstract

Objective: The transmaxillosphenoidal approach to the medial compartment of cavernous sinus has been previously described to remove tumors, such as pituitary adenomas, that invade cavernous sinus medially then the intracavernous carotid artery, which could be lateralized by the tumor. The transmaxillosphenoidal approach for the lateral compartment of cavernous sinus is presented to remove tumors located only in the lateral compartment of the cavernous sinus.
