Abstract
Several bridges on the motorways from Antwerp to Eindhoven and Hasselt, built in the sixties, have suffered from alkaline reactions resulting in fast deterioration and therefore requiring urgent replacement. The highly increased road traffic limited disturbance to road traffic on the motorway to an absolute minimum.
