Abstract

With the use of a licking-based CER procedure, latent inhibition effects were reliably demonstrated with rats in acquisition and extinction regardless of whether or not a 1-h period was interpolated between massed CS preexposure trials and acquisition. Preconditioning CS-alone trials prevented effective conditioning on the first trial, but not on the second.
