Abstract
This paper records the occurrence of fourteen species of well-preserved planktonic foraminiferal genus Morozovella viz.,Morozovella aequa, M. angulata, M. subbotinae, M. gracilis, M. velascoensis, M. formosa, M. apanthesma, M. acutispira, M.praeangulata, M. occlusa, M. acuta, M. conicotruncata,, M. lensiformis, and M. crater from several outcrops sections in the Pondicherry area, southern India. The recorded planktonic foraminiferal genus is useful for biostratigraphic purpose and indicates late Palaeocene-early Eocene (P3-E4 Zone) for the study area.
