Abstract
ABSTRACT Two carnivoran mandibles were recovered from the Late Miocene Dhok Pathan Formation outcrops of Hasnot village of northern Pakistan. Thorough morphometric comparison of the specimens verifies an assignment to ‘Martes’ lydekkeri. The present specimens represent new records of this rare mustelid species and confirm the extension of its stratigraphic range from the Chinji Formation to the Dhok Pathan Formation.
