Infectious complications in children after liver transplantation are a major cause of morbidity and mortality
Second category of patients (Group 2, about 10-15% of patient population), who have on going biliary complications secondary to anastomotic strictures or cholangiopathies secondary vascular problems are more likely to get infections due to endogenous flora coliforms, enterococci and emerging carbapenem resistant enterobacteraceae (CRE)
