Abstract

Heterotopic ossification (HO) is the abnormal formation of bone in extra-skeletal tissue. It is a recognised complication of musculo-skeletal trauma, occurring after elective orthopaedic surgery, fractures, joint dislocation and soft-tissue injury. 1 Iorio R. Healy W.L.
