Abstract

Late biological consequences of the use of nuclear and chemical (herbicide and defoliant) weapons are compared. Attention is drawn to the incidence of certain malignancies in exposed persons; and differences in the localization of the increases among the victims of nuclear and chemical weapons are considered on a pathophysiological basis. The only prevention of these medical consequences of war is a ban on all weapons of mass destruction.
