Abstract

1. The possibility of formation of a conditioned food reflex to stimulation of the lateral geniculate body (LGB) was demonstrated and its features are described. 2. Formation of a conditioned reflex to stimulation of LGB is accompanied by the appearance of intensification of the late positive-negative component of EP in the visual and sensomotor cortex, with similar configuration. The peak latency of the negative component in the cortical areas studied was 40–80 msec. 3. The amplitude of the late positive-negative complex of the EP in the cortical areas studied differs during periods of isolated and paired action of the conditioned and reinforcing stimuli.
