Abstract

Influences of the dense and thin film anode of LaFeO3 on the power generating property were investigated. For improving the anodic performance, mixed electric and oxygen ionic conductor La(Sr)Fe(Mn)O3 thin film anode was fabricated via pulsed laser deposition. The maximum power density was ca. 3.0 W/cm2 at 973 K and ca.0.16 W/cm2 at 673 K. The high power density of the cell was explained by the decreased anodic overpotential which is suggested the enhanced anodic activity. Therefore, the nano sized LSFM dense film described seems to work as a unique active anode.
