Abstract

This paper presents the results of studies in which it shown that various methods of cutting glass affect the mechanical strength of the edge. It is established that cutting glass by the method of laser-controlled thermal cutting increases the strength of the glass by a factor of 5.5 by comparison with mechanical cutting.
