Abstract

Laser spectroscopy techniques have been applied to Cr3+ -doped YAG and GSGG crystals. Owing to a high resolution dye laser, 2E and 4A2 splittings, zero-phonon 4A2 → 2E. 2T1, 4T2 transitions and vibronic levels of 2E doublets of Cr3+ non-equivalent centers are recorded. Energy transfers between Cr3+ multisites are revealed by site selective spectroscopy and fluorescence decays.KeywordsExcitation SpectrumCrystal FieldCrystal Field StrengthVibronic LevelStrong Crystal FieldThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
