Abstract

substrate at temperature (635 K) by chemical spray pyrolysis technique. The films were annealed with CW diode laser (808 nm) for (1 and 3) min. X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to study the structure of the films. The patterns showed that the films as-prepared have typical peaks of monoclinic tenorite (CuO), which confirmed by (111) and (111) diffraction peaks. The later peak disappeared with laser annealing for (1 and 3) min and (200) peak appeared. The annealing leads to increase the intensity of (111) diffraction peak. The UV-Vis spectrophotometer was used to study the optical properties of the films. The results showed that the annealing leads to increase the transmittance and decrease the absorbance. The optical energy gap (Eg) of these films is direct, and it increases with increasing the laser exposure time.
