Abstract

The laser-induced fabrication and processing of semiconductors is reviewed with special emphasis on recent developments in laser chemical processing. Among the most important results are investigations on instabilities and noncoherent structure formation, the deep patterning of element and compound semiconductors, and the fabrication of real 3D microstructures.
