Abstract

The observation of laser induced broad emission bands in visible (white light) and near infrared (NIR) regions in graphene foam are reported. The measurements were performed in vacuum by using high power density irradiation with a CW 975 nm laser diode. It was observed that apart from broad band white emission earlier reported by us, there appears broad band emission in near infrared centred at about 2100 nm. The dependence of intensity on excitation power exhibit exponential increase.
