Abstract
There are problems in determining the warp and weft density, cover factor, and other characteristics of woven fabrics. A laser diffraction measuring technique is pro posed for determining warp and weft density, cover factor, orthotropy, and weave perfection of fine-mesh screen wovens. The applicability of the proposed method is demonstrated using two examples of screen wovens, Nybolt and Kontis.
