Abstract

Absorption spectra of human breath in 10 μm region were recorded by the use of intracavity laser photo-acoustic gas analyzer based on tunable waveguide CO 2 laser. Healthy persons and patients with various diseases were studied. For determination of CO 2 concentration in exhalation samples gas analyzer was calibrated by reference gaseous mixture CO 2 -N 2 . It was obtained that CO 2 concentration values in human breath of healthy persons are greater than that of patients with various diseases.
