Abstract

The implementation of 4.0 technologies is necessary in the public sector, especially in sensitive sectors such as the health sector, since it has the duty to guarantee the fundamental right to health. Through this research, the nexus between data and the economic processes carried out within the Colombian General Social Security Health System (SGSSS) is determined. Likewise, it is determined that one of the essential characteristics of the data is veracity, since they have an impact on the recognition of the resources of the health system; otherwise, there will be recognitions or appropriations without just cause, which translates into an equity detriment that has a direct impact on the health of Colombians. According to the results, these resources amount to more than 2.5 trillion pesos for the period 2015 to 2019. Taking into account the formulation and implementation of Big Data and digital transformation policies, as well as the need to guarantee the quality of the information that rests in the health sector information system, it was identified that interoperability is one of the most important priorities for the actors of the SGSSS.
