Abstract

This article is a preliminary study on the role of Guarani women of the province of Salta in the domestic and public sphere. The study presents a review of the theoretical debates on gender and the role of women in the economy and their participation in politics. Guarani women play an important role in the household economy given that they sell the agricultural produce and engage in cross border trade.
