Abstract

The task of educating the citizen and encouraging the student to become a reader seems quite challenging, precisely because of this, this has been a challenge at all levels of teaching, generating great discussions and theories. This time, the educators who work with the EJA need to equip themselves with theories that can cooperate for this segment of education to have a concrete learning. It was thinking about this that the SESI/SC, of the Jaraguá do Sul unit, in the area of Languages, Codes and their Technologies, drew on the ideas of Paulo Freire to make the lessons more interesting for the pupils, as it set off from their knowledge of the world, that is, from their popular knowledge, to gradually expand them, and, this time, to arrive at scientific knowledge, making the act of studying could become an easier, more viable and pleasant task. In this sense, it became clear that there was a concern to widen the horizon of the learners' expectations, while the teacher would start the discussions by means of stories narrated by the students themselves in the classroom, to later go into the theoretical content and to present to the students Canonized Literature.
