The larval mines of Nepticula juglandifoliella Clemens, Lithocolletis caryacfoliella Clemens, L. caryacalbella Chambers, and Coptodisca lucifluella Clemens have characteristics in pecan leaves that can be distinguished on the basis of horizontal and vertical extension in the leaflet, coloration, and area of leaflet in which they occur.
