Abstract
The paper presents a general formulation of non-linear interaction theory between the electron beams of linear geometry and electromagnetic circuits, both continuous propagating structures and localized gap field structures. The general scheme of taking into account the space-charge effects is described, and the difference between the present theory and the existing large-signal theory is pointed out. The energy relationship indicating the conservation of energy in the electromagnetic circuit and the electron beam is emphasized. The results of computation in a specific case are shown.
