Abstract
The paper deals with the non-linear vibration of homogeneous elastic plates of uniform thickness made of orthotropic material under uniform heating. The governing partial differential equations are deduced by the method of constant deflection contour lines, proposed by Mazumdar and Jones and subsequently modified by Sinha Ray and Banerjee. The time-dependent non-linear differential equation has finally been solved by the simple and elegant method of Adomian.
