Abstract
The lift-drag (L/D) ratios of blunt and sharp half-cones with flat-plate wings, having the same volumes and lengths, are compared. The greater the relative volume (or the smaller the length), the higher the L/D ratio of the blunt cones as compared with that of the sharp ones.
