Abstract
We consider the equation Δ u = p ( x ) u α + q ( x ) u β on R N ( N ⩾ 3 ) where p, q are nonnegative continuous functions and 0 < α ⩽ β . We establish conditions sufficient to ensure the existence and nonexistence of nonnegative entire large solutions of the equation.
