Abstract

A large-scale deployment of two-color QCD simulations on the grid infrastructure called the FKPPL (France Korea Particle Physics Laboratory) VO has been carried out by use of Ganga. Typically in this deployment, there are a few hundred concurrent running two-color QCD jobs on the grid and are many jobs having a running time which lasts longer than 12 hours. Thus, there are premature terminations of running jobs due to the proxy lifetime and site-wide runtime limit of many grid sites. To avoid these problems, we have developed an application-level check-pointing and re-starting scheme that has been seamlessly integrated into the existing Ganga framework.
